    Partners with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and deploy a variety of integrated learning and development programs, tools and collaborative practices that include formal and informal technology-enabled collaborative solutions as part of the talent management life cycle. This position is responsible for the development and integration of associated courses and projects to achieve strategic business objectives to improve performance, engagement and development.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the design and development of course materials, interactive and multimedia technology-driven components, and other support materials during course development
    • Plans, develops, and delivers or coordinates the delivery of individual and/or group training and instructional programs, encompassing a wide range of  technical, operational, management, and/or other skills.
    • Participates on various Human Resources or system-wide project teams to develop new initiatives and programs aimed at improving organizational and employee effectiveness.
    • Determines appropriate instructional methodologies and formats; evaluates and recommends incorporation of vendor programs, as appropriate to meet overall training goals and objectives.
    • Works with SMEs, internal clients, and consultants to develop learning objectives and content for designated programs.
    • Evaluates the success of training programs in terms of learning outcomes, performance change and business impact; identify trends and patterns in data.
    • Develop and facilitate planned programs for organizational change and improvement using action research, organizational development, and quality improvement concepts and methods
    • Develops and manages relationships with various training contractors as needed.
    • Collaborates with other O/E partners or consultants; works as a team in reviewing projects, identifies and thinks about systemic patterns or behaviors in supporting one another.
    • Manages the planning, design and implementation/delivery of all learning and development requirements.
    • Selects appropriate media for delivery (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual, blended) to ensure that learning needs are met effectively and efficiently.
    • Develops and designs materials such as eLearning, participant/facilitator guides, instructor-led training materials, handbooks, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, webcasts, micro learning, and knowledge validation tests.
    • Develop and design highly engaging and interactive learning solutions while applying industry standard methodologies (e.g., ADDIE).
    • Develop and nurture client relationships and work closely with consultants or vendors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to develop and implement learning strategies.
    • Facilitates instructor-led training demonstrating effective use of presentation/facilitation tools, techniques and materials. Facilitator will have knowledge of adult learning theory and practice, facilitation and training techniques, instructional design methods, and specific knowledge of the program or subject matter area. They must be effective with groups of all sizes and with people at all levels in the level in the organization, including senior executives.
    • Facilitates “train-the-trainer” sessions to ensure effective delivery and engaging learning experiences.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources or related field is required.
    • 3 years of Instructional Design experience required.
    • At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing instructor-led and eLearning products.
    • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles, and of a wide range of training methods, techniques, and formats.
    • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
    • Ability to determine training objectives.
    • Executive presence and ability to guide leadership Experience facilitating courses and creating training materials.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of curriculum development and preparation procedures.
    • Ability to interpret and assess training and development needs and to develop appropriate and creative responses.
    • Experience using Lectora software preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
    • Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services.
