    The Advancement Operations team has an exciting opening for an Instructional Designer. This is a full-time, temporary position with a 9-month service period.

    POSITION PURPOSE
    Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Technology Learning, the Instructional Designer will support curriculum development and deployment of learning collateral related to the tools our University Advancement (UA) employees use. This person will partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers and UA leaders to design, develop and deliver engaging content for a variety of audiences using clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    What You Will Do:
    Program Development and Content Management (90%)

    • Partner with the Technology Learning team and SMEs to refresh existing courses and develop new interactive modules and assessments for technical learnings.
    • Develop eLearning courses using Articulate Rise 360 and SAP Litmos Learning Management System (LMS) authoring tools.
    • Record and edit screen capture videos of technical processes in Camtasia.
    • Publish modules to LMS and advise administrators on course tracking and ongoing management.
    • Evaluate current training offerings and provide recommendations to update, adapt or retire trainings.
    • Design and develop job aids, intranet content, videos and self-directed e-learning courses using rapid e-learning tools such as Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, NaturalReader and Snag-It.

      Other duties as assigned (10%)

      What You Bring:

    • Familiarity with learning and content management systems and platforms.
    • Experience using eLearning content authoring tools.
    • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, deliver on multiple projects simultaneously and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, ambiguous and deadline-driven environment.
    • Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction.

      What You Can Expect:

    • The workspace is a cubicle/open environment that may result in additional or higher levels of noise and visual distractions.

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field AND three years of experience in adult learning.

      Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
