The Risk Control L&D Sr Consultant works with business and technical leaders to deliver performance and learning solutions to improve business results for assigned business partner(s).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Partners with business and technical leaders to create and drive talent development strategy for a specific area of the business, in alignment with overall business strategy.
Recommends and designs technical learning solutions and other interventions; brings in other members of the business and to create holistic solutions. - Partners with business leaders to identify performance gaps in their organization that may be impacted by learning solutions.
- Uses strong project management practices to set strategy and budget for projects; plans, develops and implements learning solutions; keeps stakeholders engaged and informed.
- Leads and oversees performance gap assessment projects; forms and implements data collection strategies that assess requirements and gaps.
- Directs and manages design and development projects of moderate to high complexity.
Analyzes training effectiveness and recommends continuous improvement methods.

Typically Director or above
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
1. Strong knowledge of learning design, instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning theory and strategies.
2. Solid business acumen, knowledge of the business and client group, and the ability to effectively implement L&D strategies to support business goals.
3. Ability to drive, design and develop technical L&D solutions using a variety of tools and systems for eLearning, virtual, video and related delivery modes.
4. Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software.
6. Highly collaborative and comfortable navigating organizational dynamics.
7. Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
8. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
9. Ability to communicate business knowledge and technical information clearly.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent with professional designation preferred. 2. Typically a minimum of eight years educational design/development and training experience.
