Position Summary:
The Instructional Designer is responsible to design comprehensive program support to ensure alignment and consistency throughout regional business units. This role develops training for programs, processes and procedures.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Create and maintain training material, collaborating closely with subject matter experts to develop instruction sets, capture screen images and understand tool functionality to translate task-driven functionality into relevant e-module designs
- Create engaging e-learning solutions from concept storyboarding through narrative, graphic interactivity and quiz features
- Explore new ideas in training workflows and e-learning module development for core, repeatable fundamentals, as well as, forward-thinking concepts to promote dynamic learning in areas of beer knowledge, selling techniques and operational process
- Develop, maintain and package train-the-trainer toolkits for an assortment of training programs and specialized seminars, which includes: instructor/participant guides, business case exercises, job aids, PowerPoint presentations, curriculum requirements with overall easy-to-use clear, concise and accurate material that allows a comprehensive course facilitation
- Facilitate learning (instructor-led, webinars and e-learning content development) in adult learning methodologies; manage updates and related communication as needed
- Develop support for continuous improvement initiatives in process alignment and industry-specific certification programs
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessment, gap analysis and provide recommendation to ensure that training fulfills the needs and objectives of the company
- Serve as instructional design lead to mentor peers and rotational roles in ADDIE methodology, Adobe Captivate and related graphic design skill development
- Maintains and optimizes the usage of LMS application and associated courses and other Learning related content
- Uses SCORM authoring tools to design and develop simple, basic eLearning content. Maintain all past and current online courses. Aids in course and program outcome assessments
- Contribute to the overall success of the Training Team by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, training, education or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Instructional Design and related Training and Development practice using ADDIE methodology
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation design and facilitation skills
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite software, LMS functionality, graphic design/multi-media, webinar and e-learning authoring tools. Ability to use Adobe Captivate v9, a must
- Experience with Articulate 360 software
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design and related Training and Development practice
- Technical writing skills and ability to develop process flows
- Sales and/or Operations field experience
