    Job Overview:

    The Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for directing, and motivating team members to maximize productivity and enhance overall professional growth. This team member will also utilize instructional design knowledge coupled with advanced facilitation skills to create innovative instructor-led and online learning resources, develop learning documents, instructional plans, success metrics, and eLearning programs. A key skill in this role is the ability to leverage Agile principles in development work and consulting with business partners.

    Responsibilities:

    • Champion and preserve L&D brand through thoughtful decision making, communication, etc.
    • Create training programs that are aligned with the organization’s objectives
    • Proactively raise concerns or issues and recommend solutions
    • Coach L&D Consultants and Senior Consultants as needed to guide their decisions and approach
    • Advise on possible process enhancements to aid in innovation, efficiency, and quality; practice other skills outlined in the general manager framework
    • Serve as relationship manager for business unit and/or larger initiatives assigned for body of work or business unit
    • Manage business partners’ expectations and liaise as needed
    • Provide direct supervision for team members (provide performance coaching, feedback, 1:1s, manage time off to ensure coverage, manage team capacity)
    • Hold team members accountable, while being responsible for their results and deadlines. Provide coverage and/or support when needed
    • Support the organization’s overall business strategy through effective management of human resources
    • Please note: Additional responsibilities or duties may be assigned to you as needed or determined.

    Requirements:

    • BS (Focus in: Instructional Design and Technology, Education, Finance, Business or Economics),
    • 5-7 years (in a training related role with instructional design and delivery experience, writing, editing, presenting, facilitating, planning, organizing, directing and managing all aspects of training and project management initiatives
    • Software/Systems Skills Required/Preferred: Microsoft Suite (Expert), Survey Monkey (Well-versed, Learning Management Systems (Well-versed)

    Core Competencies:

    • Excellent communicator, mega-tasker, proficient webinar host and outstanding presentation skills.
    • Must be a proactive, critical thinker with professional maturity and can be self-managed.
    • Well versed in various lines of business including: wire house, regional, independent, RIA, institutions and retirement plans.
    • Must have a thirst for learning and be motivated by the intrinsic reward of helping others.

    Preferences:

    • Licenses Required: N/A but Series 63 and Series 7 a plus

    Pay Range:

    $72,880-$109,320/year
     

    Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Additionally, LPL Total Rewards package is highly competitive, designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play – such as 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options, paid time off, volunteer time off, and more.
