    The incumbent will oversee the production of learning projects as an internal consulting group, providing instructional design and literature support by:

    • Conducting needs assessments that identify stakeholders’ specific requirements and desired learning outcomes,
    • Designing learning solutions that reflect evidencebased learning theories in order to address the needs of the learners and the school,
    • Using a collaborative approach with stakeholders to plan and design learning experiences that use instructional content that meets the diversity of the learners to realize the measurable learning objectives,
    • Employing a variety of learning methods and emerging technologies to reach learning outcomes,
    • Identifying appropriate evaluation techniques and applying them to measure the impact of the learning experience, and
    • Publishing highquality resources to K20’s LEARN repository.

    Talent Management [25%].

    The incumbent will ensure the project has the staff infrastructure and resources required to implement the sponsored research goals effectively and efficiently by:

    • Monitoring staffing requirements,
    • Recruiting and hiring exceptional candidates,
    • Focusing on staff engagement and retention, and
    • Developing and maintaining a highperformance culture.

    Additionally, the incumbent will provide consultative, coaching, or mentoring services to project staff through:

    • Guiding the performance improvement process,
    • Facilitating the performance development process, and
    • Facilitating periodic formative (K20 Center) and summative (OU) evaluations.

    Project Management [20%].

    Develops, implements, and refines performance improvement methodology and project management methodology. The incumbent will support the daytoday responsibilities of grantdefined projects and develop longrange strategic planning for all grantbased services. They will develop and maintain project goals, objectives, and procedures.

    • Monitoring and supporting instructional design staff in the use of project management platform (Jira) in the assignment, production, and successfully completion of tasks and/or projects, and
    • Coordinating staffing requirements associated with grantbased services.
    • Monitors project timelines to ensure resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve desired performance goals in a timely manner.

    Communications [10%].

    The incumbent will maintain effective internal and external communication regarding grantsupported services while providing timely information regarding the progress of initiatives by:

    • Serving as a liaison between center leadership, instructional design staff, field staff, support staff, school stakeholders, and community partners,
    • Resolving projectbased conflict and taking corrective action as needed, and
    • Acting as an ambassador for both the K20 Center and the instructional design team.
    • They will participate in meetings and committees and represent the project in the center and sponsored research outreach efforts.
    • Gathering staff feedback, recommendations, and insights to inform and improve instructional design services,
    • Disseminating K20 Center and project, information to instructional design staff members, and
    • Supporting the publication of easytouse implementation resources of core project services to the K20 LEARN repository.

    Project Coordination [10%].

    The incumbent will independently lead the instructional design team to support K20’s sponsored research initiatives, in supporting all grantdefined services in their effort to implement and effectively achieve performance excellence by:

    • Leveraging strong interpersonal skills to direct, coach, counsel, and motivate project staff members in implementing grantdefined services, and
    • Promoting staff members’ wellbeing and productivity.

    They will support the alignment of project goals, objectives, and procedures by:

    • Defining and monitoring annual process improvement plans grant and team strategic goals, objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs) and tactics;
    • Developing, monitoring, and reporting project operating budgets, and
    • Serving as a liaison between instructional design team, support teams, projects and center leadership.

    Evaluation and Reporting [5%].

    The incumbent will utilize tracking tools and risk management data found in K20 Center’s project management platforms (Jira and POLARIS) to establish service goals as well as monitoring and reporting progress by:

    • Communicating the goals, objectives, and outcomes of the project to stakeholders,
    • Gathering and communicating information to help make datainformed planning decisions about the project, and
    • Reviewing and implementing evaluation criteria to evaluate progress toward project goals, objectives, and outcomes.

    The incumbent will implement risk management practices using K20 Center’s project management platforms (Jira and POLARIS) to and their data to identify and mitigate risks and challenges to grantdefined outputs and outcomes by:

    • Documenting, monitoring, and, when needed, refining evaluation procedures throughout the lifetime of the project,
    • Monitoring and communicating the extent to which the project goals, objectives, and outcomes were met; and
    • Developing criteria for program improvement.

    EvidenceBased Practice [5%].

    Keeps abreast of recent trends and developments in process innovation and project management in a collegeaccess federal program.

    • Determining the nature and extent of the information needed, selecting the most appropriate investigative methods or information retrieval systems, and evaluating information and its sources critically,
    • Preparing an annotated bibliography of selected sources that summarizes the central theme and scope of the book or article, and
    • Producing a summary and explanation of the complete and current state of knowledge on a selected topic as found in the peerreviewed resource.

    Provides support for multiple process improvement efforts, which are expected to dramatically improve operating performance. Provides best practice examples from other organizations.

    Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

    Job Requirements


    Required Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field AND:
    • 72 months of project management experience which includes 36 months management or leadership experience.

    Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 120 months of related experience.

    Skills:
    • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
    • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
    • Strong initiative to solve problems
    • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
    • Knowledge of Instructional Theories and Design Processes

    Advertised Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to engage in repetitive motion including movements of the hands, wrists or fingers, and communicate effectively.
    Departmental Preferences:
    • 7 or more years of instructional design experience
    • 3 or more years of experience as a lead designer, team leader, or curriculum coordinator
    • Developed curriculum for secondary students, professional learning for educators, learning activity
    • Experience or training in the development of eLearning resources
