POSITION SUMMARY: The E-Learning Developer is responsible for planning, designing, developing, packaging, and hosting e-learning content to support specific learning goals. The E-Learning Developer works independently and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholder groups and the internal learning solutions team to design and support a variety of technical learning deliverables, including video and e-learning modules.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs and produces innovative, effective e-learning modules that leverage a suite of design, production, and development tools.
- Maintains course documentation, naming conventions, and standard practices for courses hosted in the Workday Learning platform.
- Develops e-learnings, self-paced training, microlearning, and other learning technology offerings.
- Participates in the design, development, and maintenance of learning technology materials and applications including storyboards, wireframes, mockups, project plans, and other relevant design products.
- Works with Instructional Designers and Multimedia Design Specialists to support e-learning content requirements.
- Assesses, troubleshoots, and remedies reported issues with courseware, especially as related to SCORM API.
- Provides support and training on existing and emerging learning platforms, practices, and technologies.
- Stays on top of industry trends and best practices to most effectively work and recommend new approaches to design and development.
- Researches and recommends the use of vendor-based materials for multimedia design work.
- Ensures e-learning content from vendors is effective and compatible with current LMS requirements.
- Evaluates, tests, and recommends innovative and optimal learning technology solutions driven by effective adult learning principles.
- Supports the Manager Instructional and Technical Development with enterprise learning goals and learning culture.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient use of Articulate Storyline to develop interactive, high-functioning eLearning courses.
- Proficient in multimedia/web development software, such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Storyline, and comfortable working within SharePoint.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including SCORM packaging, testing, and uploading courses (Workday LMS, a plus).
- Current and varied eLearning design demonstrated in work portfolio.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and solving technology-based concerns in the creation, maintenance, and updating of learning content.
- Ability to think creatively while maintaining learning and brand standards.
- Initiative to master new skills.
- Ability to take projects from concept to completion with an eye for detail.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with a variety of stakeholders and internal collaborators.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects to successfully meet deadlines.
- Self- motivated and proactive nature.
- Ability to work in a team or autonomously.
- Experience with video and audio production and editing; voiceover work, is a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience developing and supporting e-learning content and other learning technologies within a creative corporate team environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency developing eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline.
