    Job Summary:
    The Instructional Designer, Public Systems is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, writing, editing, and producing professional development content that enables early education providers and employees to become more effective in their work, with emphasis on a performance-based, learner-centered approach. They will collaborate with other members of the Professional Development team, and with the leadership and subject-matter experts on local public systems projects, to fulfill the deliverables of Shine Early Learning’s public systems contracts.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Designs and develops interactive, engaging and effective learning experiences for early childhood educators, program leadership, and/or other provider or Acelero/Shine staff.
    • Collaborates closely with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to identify and develop learning goals and objectives and ensure that instructional content addresses the needs of the learner.
    • Implements all aspects of the instructional design process, including determining performance needs and writing action-oriented objectives; developing active, learner-centered training sessions; and planning for learning transfer and assessment.
    • Designs and produces training materials (e.g. PowerPoints, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, handouts, job aids, resources, and/or eLearning modules) for multiple user groups, in accordance with Acelero Learning/Shine Early Learning quality criteria and design guidelines.
    • Reviews and evaluates existing training materials to determine needed revisions and adapt to meet the needs of learners in varied contexts.
    • Conducts quality assurance reviews on own or colleagues’ work product, as needed.
    • Provides project management techniques to communicate, convene and coordinate meetings and track design milestones and deadlines.
    • Provides guidance and assistance to the content development team to promote the use of

    sound instructional design principles and meet learning outcomes and business objectives.

    • Analyzes learner trends and modify approaches based on findings.
    • Adapts processes and approaches to meet the needs of varied public systems clients and stakeholders.
    • Supports technological aspects of learning solutions as needed (e.g., video editing, LMS management).
    • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

    Job Requirements:
    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Learning or in a related area with certification or coursework in Instructional Design
    2. Five years’ experience in instructional design, encompassing instructor-led training and eLearning

    3. Demonstrated application of instructional design principles consistent with Acelero’s performance- based, learner-centered approach

    4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts to design educational products and tools
    5. Proficiency with Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline authoring tools
    6. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

    Salary: $54,000 – $65,000

    This position earns up to 65,000.00 Annually
