    Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, the instructional designer plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of high-quality learning experiences for our organization. The incumbent will contribute to the design and implementation of effective training programs, e-learning modules, and instructional materials that support our strategic objectives and address our learners’ needs. Learning solutions created by the Instructional Designer will include engaging courses and experiences that focus on practical skills relevant for all levels of our workforce covering functional, technical, and professional areas.
    Essential Duties
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze learning needs, define learning objectives, and identify target audiences.
    • Design and develop instructional materials, including instructor-led training materials, e-learning modules, job aids, and interactive multimedia resources.
    • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis to ensure accuracy and relevancy of content, incorporating best practices and industry standards.
    • Create storyboards, scripts, and prototypes to visualize the instructional design approach and obtain feedback from stakeholders.
    • Revise and update existing training materials to improve effectiveness and align with evolving business needs.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and instructional design methodologies to continuously enhance learning experiences.
    • Assist in managing the Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Assist with various training related tasks such as training coordination, research, reporting, admin tasks, team inbox, etc.
    Experience
    • 3 or more years of Instructional Design experience with a focus on creating experiential learning solutions (classroom, virtual, eLearning, mobile learning, and information design), preferably in a professional/corporate setting
    Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Human Resources or a related field.
    Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design principles, and e-learning best practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise explanations of complex concepts and engaging course content for a diverse audience of professionals.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design; strong instinct for visual layout and graphic design principles.
    • Experience in learning management systems. Experience with Oracle Learn a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools for virtual teams (ie. MS Teams).
    • Experience with instructional design software tools including Articulate eLearning suite and Camtasia.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality instructional materials.
    Licenses/Registrations
    None required.

    Compensation

    The salary range for this position is $64,470-$96,718 This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
