    The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is embarking on a strategic initiative to expand the college’s educational reach and impact by developing eLearning programs for professionals in industry. Our learning audience will include those involved in traditional pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical research, development, manufacturing, fill/finish, packaging, and distribution as well as those involved in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and quality control.

    This position is responsible for working with subject matter experts and others to design, develop, and implement innovative, engaging, interactive, multimedia eLearning solutions for professional development (non-credit-bearing) courses. In the future, it is possible that this position may also work on development of credit-bearing courses.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology with a science background; or
    Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a science background; or
    Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with eLearning and/or training experience
    Portfolio and/or examples of eLearning that the candidate has developed.
    Preferred Qualifications
    2-10 years developing eLearning for professionals in industry strongly desired.
    Experience using eLearning tools such as Captivate, Storyline, or another eLearning program strongly desired.
    Physical Demands
    Sedentary Work: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
    Position Salary Range
    $50 per hour
