    The Learning Experience Designer is a member of the Engineering Product Innovation & Cloud (EPIC) Technical Training team. The Tech Training Team is part of the Workforce Excellence group and is made up a of 16 learning professionals responsible for delivering performance impacting learning solutions to the EPIC-wide organization of 6,000 employees.

    About the Role:
    This Instructional Design role delivers high-quality learning experiences and collateral that conveys organizational constructs and methodologies, technical concepts, and processes in a manner that meets learning and business objectives for an internal audience.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with Learning Program Managers and business partners to determine business/learning needs and measures
    • Works with subject matter experts to design impactful content and experiences
    • Applies holistic learning experience design principles to meet internal development needs
    • Using UKG design processes, templates, and tools; rapidly designs and develops engaging and impactful learning content and activities
    • Creates content in multiple modalities (classroom, eLearning, software simulations, OJT etc.).
    • Develops eLearning content using Articulate 360 and other industry standard tools
    • Develops general media in support of instructional programs
    • Stays current in training trends and recommends innovative solutions for training media, methods, approaches, and new ideas in a cost-effective manner
    • Ensures projects are completed on time and according to design, development, and quality standards
    • Collaborates with training team members to meet team and organizational goals
    • Contributes to and develops team policies, processes, and techniques

    Qualifications

    Basic:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Education, or related
    • 4+ years as an Instructional Designer or equivalent experience designing and developing blended learning solutions
    • Experience developing multiple instructional modalities including instructor-led (synchronous and asynchronous), eLearning, & structured experiences. Samples required.
    • Ability to develop training that incorporates adult learning theories, visual learning design, and interactive training techniques
    • Strong proficiency with industry standard eLearning development software. Articulate 360 preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills – differentiates ‘need-to-know’ and ‘nice-to-know’ content
    • Strong oral/written communication and editing skills, ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas for the appropriate audiences
    • Must be flexible and be able to work both in teams and individually, influence change, manage multiple commitments, demonstrate high attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
    • Must be comfortable working as a hybrid employee (onsite / remote) and have the discipline to stay both motivated and engaged remotely

    Preferred:

    • Experience developing instructional graphics, basic animation, video, etc. (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, After Effects, or similar)
    • Working in an Agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environments
    • Working in Agile processes / environments
    • Working in a SaaS environment
    • Designing technical certification programs
