Title: LMS Administrator (Contract)
Location: Remote
Availability: Estimated 25 hours per week, availability during regular working hours EST
Rate: $40/hour, depending on scope of work
We are seeking a Learning Management System Administrator to join our growing contractor pool.
In This Contract Role You Will:
- Lead an LMS implementation project in a multi vendor client environment
- Serve as a Project Lead, suporting LMS administrators and responsible for keeping project in scope and on track
- Provide technical support for client Learning Management System development and delivery of eLearning courses, user architecture and administration
- Manage the LMS to optimize the UI and to plan/implement improvements and new features
- Build and manage the overall LMS structure and set up course programs based on specifications from clients:
- Maintain the LMS user base, organizational, and permission roles
- Manage tracking of course revisions and history
- Build online assessments and evaluations in LMS for courses
- Set up course offerings
- Reporting:
- Optimize LMS reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing access to learning metrics
- Generate standard and custom reports as needed by the business
- Serve as the point of contact for all LMS issues and concerns; liaisons with vendor for issue resolution
- Maintain training content library, ensuring regular updates for relevance
- Process and track all learning requests, including formal training requests and daily “help” requests from learners
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree, or equivalent years of work experience
- 3 – 5 years as an LMS Administrator
- LMS implementation experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience working as an LMS administrator
- Experience with managing learning databases and learning analytics
- Able to work independently with adherence to deadlines
- Facilitates the escalation of, and resolution for, IT issues connected to the Learning Management System and external tools
- Excellent problem solving, analytic, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and work toward multiple goals at the same time
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer services skills
- Regularly works with business owners and employees on LMS and content library projects
