Position Overview:
The Learning and Development eLearning Specialist will build effective and engaging learning solutions in CrossCountry Mortgage’s (CCM) learning management system (LMS). This individual will also create and update training materials and courses, presentations, job aids, standard operating procedures, email templates, flyers, newsletters, style guides, and other materials as needed to remain current and aligned with CCM’s brand story. The ideal candidate will not only design content but will be eager to learn and master new skills that can be applied to current and upcoming projects. This is a full time in office position in Cleveland, Ohio.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with department leaders and subject matter experts to plan, design, create, and implement learning content and solutions that support business and training needs.
- Incorporate adult learning and interactive course design principles.
- Communicate regularly with internal departments when new courses and course revisions are needed.
- Provide technical expertise in developing, revising, and maintaining course content in the learning management system (LMS).
- Create, manipulate, and edit digital imagery, video, scripting, and incorporate graphics, and effects into training media.
- Define project timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously; keep track of project tasks and statuses.
- Write, edit, and proofread technical documentation.
- Reformat, brand, and revise existing and newly created company content via Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Work in partnership with the LMS and Training Coordinator Team Lead, the AVP of Learning Development, and departmental subject matter experts on project requests.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support the Learning and Development Team and/or other CCM departments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience working in a training or marketing role preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a learning management system or similar platform required.
- Mortgage experience a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
- Experience working with Adobe Captivate preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Capability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
