The Curriculum Design Specialist is responsible for understanding and delivering on the needs of the business and learners when designing learning solutions, along with appropriate modalities for delivering different programs and learning tools to support company strategy and initiatives. They will collaborate with program managers, key stakeholders, developers, instructors, and subject matter experts to perform needs analysis, design, training materials, learning paths and curriculums, ensuring that instructional quality is built into final project deliverables.
Responsibilities May Include
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training needs, and recommend course design, technology, and instruction delivery options
- Map internal and curated content to specific learning paths and curriculums to meet the objectives of the learning program
- Provide analytical support for developing training programs, learning strategies, educational policies, or coursework standards
- Ensure that learning solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning theory
- Ensure that the learning design will complement the material and provide sufficient opportunities for learners to apply what they’ve learned.
- Design training using various methods including classroom facilitation, printed materials, e-learning coursework, workshops, video concepts, and/or other web-based materials and, eLearning modules, etc.
- Apply branding standards to stakeholder’s content (i.e., design templates, standards, style guides, technical specifications, etc.)
- Present and train facilitation leaders on goals, organizational alignment, content, style, and program deliverables while representing the department professionally
- Evaluate training programs and make recommendations for improvements
- Partner with external training vendors to leverage best practices and resources
- Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to learning and development
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the posting country
- Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, HR development, or a related field
- 5 or more years of experience in design, development, and delivery of instructional material in a corporate setting
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles
- Experience designing and delivering a variety of training programs
- Experience managing Learning and Development projects
- Experience in curriculum and instructional design
- Proven ability to work with senior technical experts to design, develop and deliver effective learning solutions
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Word
- Experience with eLearning authoring tool experience; Articulate Storyline preferred
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills; self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding time frames
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment
