We are looking for a rock star Consultant Level Instructional Designer to join our growing Learning and Development Services Team with a focus on developing innovative learning solutions and thought leadership in a client facing role. This person will play a key role in designing and developing highly effective blended learning solutions for custom role-based learning and certification projects. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in the use of Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) . The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
Under the direction of a Training Lead, the Instructional Designer is responsible for the following:
- Perform Training Needs Analysis to determine Training Strategy for target audiences on assigned projects
- Develop training materials (e.g., simulations, eLearning courses, training presentations, quick reference guides, and work instructions) using their review and understanding of Instructional Design and Adult Learning Principles
- Ensure standards are followed to meet client requirements and exceed client expectations Apply time management and project management skills to deliver excellent course materials while adhering to project timelines
- Promptly identify issues or risks to the Training Lead and recommend solutions
Requirements
- A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience designing and delivering instructional courses for role-based training (technical and non-technical) or Masters Degree with 1-2 years experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively apply Instructional Design methodology and adult learning principles in a learning development project (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Demonstrated expertise with Articulate Storyline
- Basic PM experience (e.g., end to end course development, agile and waterfall experience desired)
- Client facing experience – Collaborate with clients and SMEs to develop work products
- 3+ years experience in a corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to: Learn, self-manage, and be resourceful
- Manage multiple tasks and balance priorities
- Accomplish work under tight timelines and manage stress levels
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members (written and oral)
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to acquire technical skills quickly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work output
Education
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree and work experience in a corporate or consulting role
- Masters Degree desired
