    Cotton Holdings is seeking a highly qualified Learning and Development Specialist to contribute his/her expertise to our enterprise-wide Learning and Development initiatives that supports the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive training strategy ensuring strategic alignment of training and development with business goals and objectives. The incumbent will assist with evaluating and assessing training and developmental needs to drive L&D initiatives and integrate those with organizational plan to improve employee’s performance and effectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Learning and Development Specialist will provide assistance with the following:
    • Developing employee skills and knowledge by formulating instructional plans, career paths, and materials, or manage contracts and selecting vendors who provide training.
    • Assessing design, presenting, follow up and evaluation of training and
      development content that can be applied to many job settings such as
      interpersonal communication skills, diversity and cultural awareness, computer,
      leadership, technical, and customer service skills.
    • Designing training and instructing employees on program specific job skills, provide or assign refresher training to help employees update and build their skills, and provide information about program procedural or technological changes.
    • Collaborating with HR and business leaders to understand, recommend and
      deploy effective solutions.

    Background Requirements:

    Required Qualifications:·
    • 5+ years of learning and development experience including developing, implementing, and delivering training
    • Strong consultative approach with effective and personable communication skills
    • Experience with measuring and evaluating impact
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Experience creating and/or designing course content
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Human Resource Development or a related field.
    • eLearning design experience and demonstrated expertise in the technical development, implementation and troubleshooting of web-based training modules.
    • Experience providing learning opportunities and course content.
    Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
    • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges
    • Requires ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
    • Requires ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.
    • Requires ability to read and interpret a document.
    • Requires ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
    • Requires ability to move freely about the office building and other site locations within the organization.
