Job Summary:
The Senior Instructional Designer collaborates with appropriate contributors and leverages knowledge of adult learning theory to design and develop educational content and deliverables. The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for executing the learning design for each project as well as developing training materials and collateral.
Essential Job Functions:

Act as subject matter expert on learning, learning technologies, and learning solutions and apply knowledge of adult learning theory to the design and development of learning interventions.

Ability to conduct needs assessment and evaluation studies as well as develop the evaluation tools.

Develop and maintain training materials for internal colleagues, including multimedia modules, instructor-led training, performance support tools, content/knowledge management sites and end-user support documentation.

Maintain an understanding of learning technologies (e.g. simulations, performance support tools, etc.) and their potential applications.

Collaborate effectively with internal and external constituents, including subject matter experts, corporate stakeholders, and field deployment staff to plan and execute training.

Conduct learning delivery solutions across the enterprise.

Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the enterprise to develop relevant meaning training.
Specific Skills/ Attributes:
-
Proficiency in learning technologies and design tools, such as Adobe Captivate Articulate Storyline/Presenter, or other eLearning development tools is required.

Experience creating content for and delivering virtual training is strongly preferred.

Experience with learning management systems preferred.
-
Project management skills, including proactive communication, and managing workload to stay within budget and deadlines.

Experience working in fast-paced settings and managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Proven experience with technology-based learning design.

Work samples are required.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong visual design skills are preferred, including the creation and manipulation of digital images.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Adult or Workplace Learning and Performance, Education, Psychology, Communications, or related field required. Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Workplace Learning and Performance or similar field helpful.

5+ years with proven ability in designing a variety of learning solutions for a broad array of delivery methods (e.g., blended, eLearning, instructor-led, simulations, virtual, mobile).

Fluency with Microsoft Office applications is required.

Organizational Development experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency with group facilitation and training delivery.
