The Learning Management System Specialist is responsible for maintaining and driving the growth of the learning management systems (LMS) used by Bobcat training teams. Key responsibilities will be to ensure that training-related data is accurate and reported in a timely manner in addition to maximizing the capabilities and functionalities of the learning systems and troubleshooting for users across the dealer network. Secondary responsibilities will include creating content and materials that help to cultivate and maintain a culture of continuous experiential learning.
The LMS Specialist will be responsible for testing and performing quality analysis on training content and system functions, in addition to identifying opportunities for process improvement across the board. They will also assist the Sr. Instructional Designers in developing training and learning resources. This will include, but is not limited to, creating online learning courses/modules, and developing a structure for face-to-face workshops by working closely with the commercial training teams.
The LMS Specialist will work in a team environment with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop training content that is used to inform and educate dealers about Bobcat products.
Role & Responsibility
- Assigns and audits roles for corporate learners.
- Maintains accurate records and evaluates LMS metrics in coordination with the commercial training team’s data analyst.
- Performs QA testing and manages enhancement initiatives regarding learning systems to ensure that learners maximize the functionality of the systems provided.
- Supports end users and in-house tech team via ticketing system to better understand user experiences, issues, and challenges in the learning systems.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement across the board and manages the implementation of solutions and other projects to increase the effectiveness of the learning systems and processes.
- Helps users get the most from the tools provided by the commercial training team.
- Supports analysis, planning, design, development, and implementation of all training initiatives in alignment with strategic and operational goals.
- Supports the implementation of eLearning, blended, and in-person training at Bobcat.
- Maintains a catalog of training materials (including course listings, resources, and curriculum overview).
- Provides regular feedback to the team to streamline the workflow.
- Assists in development of training courses and resources to help others achieve stated training objectives.
- Adheres to a schedule for ongoing curriculum audits.
- Conducts needs assessment by reviewing data, performing user research, and identifying how learning fits in the training strategy.
- Uses creativity and innovation to experiment with new approaches, processes, and disrupts the status quo.
- Assists in training of stakeholders (i.e., facilitators, business SMEs) to deliver or curate the learning experience.
- Supports creation of evaluation plans to measure learner experience, skill attainment and performance, and behavior change.
Job Requirement
- Education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience required: Minimum of 3+ years in a related role, with responsibilities of managing a Learning Management System and developing learning experiences.
- Ability to engage with SMEs to develop engaging and experiential learning programs.
- Project management skills are essential. PMP or other documented project experience highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a software/cloud system and troubleshoot at a high and consistent level.
- Ability to work well with SMEs to develop industry-leading online and in-person training content.
- Travel required: <10%.
