SUMMARY

Support the current and future training and development needs of the Company, its divisions, and its extended enterprise companies by designing and developing training resources designed around standardized, good instructional design principles. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers or other learners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Work with key stakeholders to define scope of learning experiences, clarify learning objectives, and identify subject matter experts, timeline and projected outcomes
  • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to identify needs, determine best training approach.
  • Identify goals and learning objectives for training courses.
  • Proactively work with TAI and Extended Enterprise personnel to identify new potential learning projects
  • Design and develop learning solutions, leveraging tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create learning activities that are engaging, activity-based, and results-oriented
  • Create learning solutions that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners (e.g., eLearning, webinars, videos, quick reference guides, classroom materials, study guides, etc.)
  • Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, and/or environmental impacts.
  • Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
  • Implement tools to assess the results of learning experiences (i.e., assessments, quizzes, rubrics, evaluation strategies, etc.). Makes recommendations based on these measurements to improve quality of training programs
  • Evaluate, update and refresh existing courses for learning effectiveness
  • Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books, or magazine articles. Recommend training materials, procedures, courses, etc., to offer the best learning experience

    QUALIFICATIONS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the skill, and/or ability required.
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s (4 year) degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Education, or other associated field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Learning and Development Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military, experience, education
