    Summary

    The Sr. L&D Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering various L&D programs and initiatives, proactively partnering with various departments to provide development support, staying on top of trends in the upskilling/development space, and proposing new ideas, changes to current programs, and operating within outlined budget.


    Essential Job Functions

    • Manage the L.E.A.D leadership development program, evaluating coursework, assessing leaders, and developing competency development gap closure plans (25%). Include learning opportunities using classroom, live-and-online, self-paced e-learning, and blended learning methodologies.
    • Facilitate leadership development sessions that build and develop our leadership pipeline and organizational competencies (5%). Ensure a successful learner experience by managing pre-work, rosters, communications, tracking completion, and post-session follow-ups
    • Coach leaders to enhance management and Leadership skills (10%)
    • Support Director, L&D on delivery of the Emerging Leaders program. (15%)
    • Serve as a trusted and valued business partner to department leaders, understanding key issues within their areas (10%).
    • Monitor external service providers to ensure programs are delivering upon scope and enhancing learner experience/development. (10%)
    • Assist in the design, implementation, conduction, and evaluation of new learning and development solutions for internal audiences that include assessments, curricula, experiential learning, and evaluative metrics (10%)
    • Work collaboratively with broader L&D team, HR Business Partners, and DEI, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures (10%)
    • Gather and relay feedback from learning participants to the broader L&D team to help update and/or redesign content to be most effective for the learner
    • Understand and develop evaluation tools that measure impact and effectiveness of learning and development programs
    • Keep current with latest organizational and individual behavioral research and learning delivery technologies
    • Assist in managing projects including the development and oversight of project design plans, implementation plans, and on-going continuous improvement plans
    • Other duties as assigned (5%)

    • Possesses demonstrated ability in needs assessment, objective setting, and evaluation/measurement of learning opportunities

    • Advanced proficiency in workplace learning and development principles and authoring tools with knowledge of Instructional design architecture
    • Strong attention to detail
    • High degree of flexibility
    • Expert facilitator and presentation skills; can adapt style as appropriate to audience and delivery method
    • Solid project management experience
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of colleagues, Subject Matter Experts, contractors, and third-party vendors
    • Communicate effectively and skillfully in both oral and written form
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and impact people at multiple organizational levels
    • Strong time management skills
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems, including competency management
    • Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint skills
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

     


    Experience Required
    (Minimum required)

    • 5+ years of learning and organizational development experience
    • 5+ years of experience with development of training material that consists of written and e-Learning course content, presentation material, instructor guides, or learning activities focused on meeting defined learning objectives
    • 5+ years of experience in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate and Camtasia

     


    Education Required
    (Minimum required)

    • Bachelor’s Degree

     


    Experience/Education Preferred

    • Leadership development experience with large companies
    • Articulate and Camtasia experience
