MemorialCare’s Instructional Design and eLearning Development team is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of our workforce with a focus on Epic and its many integrations. They ensure MemorialCare staff can meet current and future business objectives and deliver quality educational services that meet our customer’s needs through online and hybrid content. They design courses, develop overall curriculums, produce eLearning, and create supporting education materials. They work closely with teams across the organization – conducting needs analyses, developing learning objectives, writing, organizing, and editing content, and applying learning theory to produce customized education solutions. This position is for an Instructional Design and eLearning Developer with Revenue Cycle experience. Resolute experience preferred.
The team uses skills of instructional design and multimedia development to help shape curricular content into coherent instructional modules that employ multimedia and a variety of interactive, web-based tools aimed at encouraging engagement. They work to solve complex content or delivery-related issues in collaboration with Epic analysis and MemorialCare technical teams. Instructional Designers/eLearning Developers devise the educational interventions required, to close end user performance gap. They create training programs based on analysis and provide guidance in creating and evaluating the results.
Epic Instructional Design Specialist/eLearning Developers work closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and team members on all aspects of education programs. They ensure project deadlines are met and that educational content reflects operational workflows, policies, and procedures. As functional experts they spearhead educational validation sessions for potential application build modifications, upgrades, or additional implementation of new technology.
Epic Instructional Design Specialist/eLearning Developers build educational content, working on the overall aesthetic appeal, and applying learning principles to deliver real knowledge gains to the learner. They develop engaging and highly interactive content to support end user knowledge growth. They are responsible for advising and developing course curriculum as well as providing direction for creation and storage of educational materials. They work to ensure educational build/content and supporting materials are always up-to-date and readily accessible in MemorialCare’s environments.
Pay Range: $107,931.20 – $156,478.40
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in instructional design and development of web-based and eLearning.
- Resolute PB and/or HB experience preferred.
- Epic Master train environment (MST) build experience when working with Epic as the primary supported system.
- Demonstrated proficiency in adult learning theory, motivation, and development.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
- Epic Certification in one or more modules (NVT) required when working with Epic as the primary supported system; multiple certifications preferred.
- Instructional Design Certificate.
