The Field Training Team provides role-specific learning for over 4,500 North American Sales and KeepStock team members and leaders that builds capabilities to achieve profitable growth. The Instructional Designer is part of the Design and Development Center of Excellence. This role is experienced at developing creative, modern, and effective training solutions that build capabilities geared toward Sales and Services. We ask that you understand adult learning theory and training development methods. You will have partnership with Design Leads to build high-quality training solutions that contribute to successful outcomes. You will report to Ashley Vaughn, Mgr., Design & Development COE.
- Develop training for 4,000+ Sales & Services team members and leaders that inspires knowledge transfer, engagement, and retention
- Use ADDIE instructional design methodology (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate)
- Collaborate with Design Leads, subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal partners to understand training need and builds learning that meets learning goals
- Develop across a full range of modalities including ILT, WBT, micro, and blended learning solutions.
- Build storyboards and scripts and convert them into animated, interactive eLearning modules in different authoring tools including Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, or other virtual immersive simulation technology
- Create learning that incorporates multiple learning styles
- Manage on time completion of multiple deliverables to support project plan
- Maintain internal processes and templates to minimize future content development time
- Manage content source files in shared libraries
- Maintain all course content and assessments
- Manage version updates of training solutions in partnership with Program Owner
- Support process improvement to enable scalable programs and solutions
- Participate in communities of learning professionals to share best practices and identify latest learning trends
- Troubleshoot and repair functionality of courses
- BA/BS or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in related field.
- Experience developing across a range of learning modalities including Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia. Familiar with virtual immersive simulation technologies. Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new authoring technology.
- Experience working autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to work within and handle multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Experience working with sales and service functions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or another related field. Continuing Education learning certificates desirable.
