Curriculum Writer
Reports to: Training & Development Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote)

Purpose of the Job

Assists in the development of curriculum, creation of technical manuals and identification of content for SK University. Compiles and documents training results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist with the development of training materials and technical manuals for all levels of associate groups within the organization
  • Develops training materials for instructors, such as online course instructional guides
  • Continually evaluate training progress and procedures to monitor course effectiveness and analyze data to make curriculum updates as needed
  • Develops and publishes interactive and engaging multimedia course content and instructional material for online delivery, including text, graphics, interactive elements, and rich media, using a variety of media and web content applications, audio, and video capture programs
  • Plan, develop and conduct training activities by fully utilizing adult learning theory and best practices for teaching and learning
  • Foster associate engagement by exhibiting the company’s focus on associate development
  • Develop, design or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or products, including artistic contributions
  • Develop training materials to promote, engage and progress diversity initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree and 2 years of related experience and/or training are required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in developing materials for diversity initiatives


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Experience using eLearning authoring tools, specifically Adobe Creative Suite, is required
  • Proficient/expert usage of Vyond, Articulate and Storyline are required
  • Experience coordinating training courses and programs to support business objectives
  • Knowledge of and experience with Learning Strategies to including electing and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation
  • Must possess a creative approach toward implementing new technology, training materials or new methods
  • Ability to communicate information to all levels of the organization to include production associates, supervisors and managers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Ability to encourage a culture focused on learning and development
  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
