Overview
The Instructional Designer assists in the development of e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, supporting documents, graphics, and multimedia assets for our Learning Management System. This individual has a passion for technology, a commitment to detail, proven experience in eLearning development or education, strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all internal and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in business development and customer discovery to help develop training solutions based on customer requirements, milestone, and delivery requirements
- Assist in the development of project plans, high-level design documents, storyboards, audio narration scripts, status reporting, Quality Assurance, and testing plans
- Develop courses in coordinated manner that meet customer requirements
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to produce ILT, web-based, and hybrid training solutions
- Produce graphics, animations, simulations and assessment instruments for e-Learning courses
- Use proven instructional design techniques to produce courses that meet quality standards
- Work closely with the Senior Instructional Designer to ensure all scheduled requirements are met and to resolve project-related problems or issues
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree and three years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
- Two years of experience designing materials in an instructional designer role which includes but, is not limited to curriculum development with an emphasis on competency-based instruction
- Experience (or just-in-time capable) of developing with the following applications: Articulate 360 Rise, Articulate Storyline, Lectora Inspire, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe InDesign
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
