Beacon is looking for a learning and development generalist to join our team.  If you have experience in leadership development, learning curriculum design, elearning design and development, and facilitation, then this could be the opportunity for you.

The primary focus is to drive learner transformation and results through the delivery of learning solutions, utilizing a variety of modalities (e.g. virtual, face-to-face, digital).

The successful candidate will enjoy the breadth and variety of responsibilities related to:

  • Learning Design: Own all phases of learning design on projects and programs. Architect learning programs and experiences that align with business’s needs, at all levels in the organization, to employees in the US and Canada.  Projects may include leadership development and well as other business and technical topics.
  • Content Development: Design and develop learning materials grounded in sound learning design principles (e.g. lesson plans, facilitator guides, online courses, participant guides, job aids, assessments, and support tools).
  • Facilitate Training: deliver instructor-led training in-person and virtually and provide production support with virtually delivery, as needed.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to identify performance opportunities and gaps in response to business needs.
  • Consult and build strong relationships with functional project teams, leaders, SMEs, and stakeholders.
  • Measure impact and outcomes against pre-determined success metrics.
  • Analyze learning data to improve engagement, increase quality, and/or recommend new learning approaches, when necessary.
  • Flexibility when projects change; offer solutions, new goals, project plan adjustments, and proactively and effectively communicates with partners.
  • Participate in required train-the-trainer classes to obtain certification, as needed.
  • Remain current on trends and technologies in the L&D space and bring ideas to the team that help us continually elevate our programs and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of full-time learning design experience; designing and developing learning solutions (including creating instructor-led materials, online/eLearning modules, blended learning, job aids, etc.), and evaluation strategies.
  • 4+ years of experience developing interactive online/eLearning modules using rapid eLearning authoring tools, preferably Articulate products.
  • 3+ years of experience developing multimedia content, including audio and video assets,  and interactive content (Camtasia, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience designing microlearning and social learning interventions.
  • 2+ years of experience with facilitating learning programs.
  • Proven track record of assessing learning needs and designing and developing solutions, resulting in improved individual and organizational performance.
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple learning projects.
  • Partnering with and managing external Instructional Design vendor partners.
  • Working with a team of people across various levels and positions to achieve a common goal.
  • Post-secondary education in a learning field (Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Interactive Arts and Technology, Education, etc.) or equivalent experience.

  • Travel varies, up to 30%
  • Location:  Remote, within US or Canada
