In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Summary:

The Learning & Development Manager partners with leaders to understand learning needs of the business, assess current training programs, implement new programs and drive improvement.

  • Develop, communicate, and market learning strategies and programs to the enterprise
  • Work with leadership to identify and prioritize organizational learning projects and manage to budget
  • Manage team of instructional designers and technical learning specialists
  • Develop relationships across Honeywell to leverage existing resources and processes and stay current on initiatives
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop effective, efficient solutions to meet learning requirements
  • Ensure effective delivery methods leveraging current technology and developing facilitators

You Must Have:

  • U.S. citizen-Ability to acquire and maintain DOE Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 7 years or more of experience

We Value:

  • 3+ years’ experience in instructional design, creating technical learning, and facilitating leadership training
  • Ability to interpret client needs and produce instructional materials
  • Project management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in knowledge capture, knowledge transfer, and knowledge management activities helpful
  • Proven ability to work in highly matrixed, complex, global organization – often in ambiguous project management situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver executive presentations
  • Experience with eLearning platforms
  • Proven ability to work with individuals, managers, and executives with varying levels of experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially written and oral communication skills and commitment to customer service
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
