We (a Learning Design Company) are seeking freelance entry-level graphic designers to work on a wide variety of projects in K-12 and higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers, Learning Technologists, SMEs, Writers to help bring their vision to life in the development of online courses, video animations, and print materials.
  • Create custom illustrations or adapt them from existing Stock art.
  • Follow directions closely in a media storyboard to produce required images.
  • Create simple graphic and other visual elements following style guidelines from a wide variety of clients.
  • Select/modify images and graphics that support content and contribute to the learning experience. Manage and organize a large amount of graphics.
  • Select and prepare vector art for video animators.
  • Review all work to ensure it is accurate and error free.
  • Willing to be part of an iterative process where changes are made in short production cycles.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • B.A. In Graphic Design or other relevant fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in the graphic design field, with preference for experience in an eLearning environment. Recent college graduates with a portfolio are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop)
  • Has a creative portfolio with a wide
  • Experience or willingness to learn accessibility guidelines (508, WCAG) and their application in the graphics development process is a plus.
  • A creative eye that pays close attention to layout and design.
  • Ability to work independently on project tasks and to meet deadlines.
