This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of sound instructional design methodologies using current technologies and effective project management to meet organizational goals, including defining templates and best practices for eLearning creation. The Lead Instructional Designer will coach and mentor other Evernorth Behavioral Health (EBH) Instructional Designers, ensuring processes related to instructional design are properly documented.
Responsibilities:
Define templates and documentation for internal instructional design processes
Coach and mentor other Evernorth Behavioral Health (EBH) Instructional Designers to ensure consistency in curriculum development
Act as primary liaison with third party vendors such as Wellsaid, Vyond, and Raytheon
Design, develop and implement course content for new hire training curriculum.
Design, develop and implement course content for ongoing training programs for Case Management, Utilization Management, Coaches, Supervisors, and all other related clinical and non-clinical roles.
Perform ongoing curriculum maintenance as needed to ensure training materials are current and documentation is available in a secure shared location.
Build partnerships with leadership to understand and determine opportunities for improvement in learning programs, including soft skill and competency development as well as technical knowledge and proficiency.
Develop strong relationships with our business partners to implement and assist in curriculum development for Evernorth Behavioral Health (EBH)/Consumer Health Engagement (CHE).
Promote Evernorth Behavioral Health (EBH) though inclusion of the core values and strategies in training curricula.
Identify changes in products, systems and processes that impact training through the attendance at operational and project meetings or other formal and informal means, and update the curriculum as needed with these changes.
Embrace change, stay current on the business strategy and keep curricula up to date with the changes in the business strategy and direction to align with CHE key priorities.
Develop solid role play scenarios and incorporate them into the training curricula.
Develop written and verbal learner evaluations to ensure knowledge transfer.
Continually improve the effectiveness and depth of all training curricula by staying current with evolving instructional design techniques.
Continuously enhance the training experience of our associates by creating an interactive and engaging learning environment utilizing instructor-led, virtual and eLearning platforms.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years’ experience in instructional design
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or Education related field
Demonstrated success with business writing and presentation skills
Ability to convey complex information and clinical program customer interaction scenarios into meaningful, effective training course material.
Ability to incorporate the principles of adult learning into training curricula utilizing instructor-led, virtual and eLearning platforms.
Strong PC and MS Office skills.
Demonstrate an understanding of CHE Products and Programs
Subject matter expertise in various systems such as: TruCare, HEV, HC ICMS, CHC ICMS, CAMS, DG, CCMS, PreVue
Proficiency with tools as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Vyond, learning management systems and graphic editing software
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years’ experience in instructional design at Cigna/Evernorth
Experience in health care industry.
Understanding of medical management operations.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to bring innovative thought process to curriculum design and curation.
Experience implementing training programs and building strong relationships and consensus.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 62,700 – 104,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
