Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for designing and developing comprehensive training programs for all levels across Stericycle. This position will support the execution of the Learning and Development Strategy cross functional teams. This individual will function as an Instructional Designer for learning projects that support the shared service business functions in addition to stand-up training and evaluation of programs.
Key Job Activities:
- Design, develop, and implement/facilitate comprehensive training solutions to improve both organization and individual team member performance.
- Facilitate learning experiences in multiple delivery modalities including, but not limited to, eLearning, instructor-led training in both in person and virtual environments, podcast, and micro-learning. Responsibilities may include customizing existing content to present in new formats as well as becoming certified in additional vendor programs.
- Investigate available training methods and procedures to determine the most effective manner by which to meet specific learning needs; recommend and develop solutions.
- Assess learning program participants for knowledge and behaviors learned; develop metrics to assess the effectiveness and ROI of learning programs.
- Coordinate with business units, HR team, and external training vendors to schedule training / educational sessions; manage training program execution.
- Actively contribute to the execution of the Learning & Development strategy
- Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure they align with strategic need, are applicable to the work and an efficient use of time.
- Develop and conduct train-the trainer programs for business leaders to prepare them to facilitate learning experiences.
- Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment and coordinating enrollment.

Education:
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years experience
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Corporate training experience is required, experienced working in a dispersed organization
- Must have strong facilitation, instructional design, and some E-Learning capabilities with examples to substantiate
- Thorough understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey strategies and complex information effectively within all levels of the organization
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced in executing change management
- Experience developing enterprise-level learning programs for mid-level leaders
- Experience working on enterprise-level projects and initiatives
- Experience facilitating learning experiences for mid-level leader
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility to shift between each facet of their role with little difficulty. In addition, this role will stay current with innovative, new learning experience design modalities.
