Amazon’s Global Compensation Learning and Engagement team is looking for a Learning Experience Designer with expertise in instructional design, stakeholder communication, and content management. The Learning and Engagement team mission is to create learning solutions that enable employees to use and understand Amazon’s compensation philosophy, tools, and products.

The Learning Experience Designer plays a vital role in advancing our team’s impact at Amazon. We look for data-driven and action-oriented ways to drive learning and seek to continually evolve our programs based on participant feedback. We are a tight-knit team with a passion for training and development, made up of learning professionals and experienced business leaders. The Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for the technical design and deployment of core HR skills training with a focus on decision making.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong content and training development background. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience with the development and delivery of inspiring content as well as creating learner-centered training across multiple modalities. They must excel at earning trust when working cross-functionally, possess great communication skills, demonstrate high standards, and approach design with the customer in mind. Successful candidates will have relevant experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment to help build a learning environment where learners can build skills just-in-time.

Key job responsibilities
* Developing learning materials, modules and infographics
* Stakeholder communication and outreach related to learning materials, change management, and content updates
* End-to-end production of e-Learning modules, with the help of subject matter experts
* Designing and delivering training for our mid-level through senior manager-level global organization
* Partnering with product managers, developers, subject matter experts and UX designers to create embedded learning solutions in our products
* Creating and updating innovative, actionable just-in-time performance support based on the needs of our employees
* Continually striving to raise the bar on our learning experiences by measuring impact and seeking customer feedback to determine areas for improvement
* Confidence to speak publicly and influence senior leaders as an expert in learning design
* Developing and executing evaluation strategies for learning programs
* Partnering with remote teams to build out development experiences with a global mindset
* Influencing key stakeholders to continually invest in training

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Business, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years’ work experience driving Learning and Development design, implementation, and management
  • Program Management experience that includes managing multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in related discipline: Education, Design, Business, Communications, etc.
  • Demonstrated expertise with complex negotiations
  • Superior facilitation skills
  • Experience designing training programs from the ground-up
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in an approachable manner
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and execute in a customer-centric manner
  • Desire to think beyond traditional classroom training experiences and innovate in this space
  • Experience creating interactive eLearning courses
  • Experience developing communications content for diverse audiences
  • Prior experience working with HR, Tech, Ops and/or Business functional learning a plus
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with SME’s, global stakeholders and internal customer groups
  • Proven ability to influence leaders at all levels to understand their role in employee development and help build their skills
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and launch original learning solution(s) with real impact
  • Experience with scenario-based learning design
