Job Description
Your days will be filled with:
The focus on specific key responsibilities and competencies may vary for individual Learning Designers and/or evolve over time based on organizational and customer needs.
- Designing outcomes-based training and modify existing training materials utilizing engaging adult learning activities and compelling course content
- Designing and develop learning for onsite, virtual, online, video, blended, and other formats
- Applying best practices in instructional design and learning technologies to all course development
- Managing multiple projects from defining the learning outcomes and scope of each project through meeting timelines with quality deliverables
- Developing assessment tools and strategies that align with learning outcomes to measure the effectiveness of each course
- Producing written projects and supplemental materials that are clear, concise, appropriately detailed, and understandable by diverse audiences using proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and language rules
- Partnering and collaborating with internal customers and project teams to support effective design and delivery of content
- Supporting the LMS through content creation, updates, and/or technical maintenance
- Supporting and promoting Tobii Dynavox products by growing competencies in the entire Tobii Dynavox product portfolio including the value to customers, product set up/configuration, product application, product utilization, and implementation
- Exemplifying the desired culture, values, and philosophies of the organization
- Attendng meetings as assigned
Qualifications
Are you our next Tobiian?
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Education, or related field preferred
- 3+ years’ experience designing courses and training materials
- Experience in creating eLearning
- Experience as a trainer/facilitator (preferred)
- Passion for helping people with communication deficits
- Curiosity for learning
- Awesome can-do attitude with a focus on removing obstacles to keep projects on-track
- Independent self-starter who takes initiative
- Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively
- Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team
- Remain calm, professional, and focused in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment
- Embrace change and shifting priorities
- Deliver and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and concise manner (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to identify and prioritize goals and daily tasks

- Courageous and allows room for mistakes
- Learn new technologies quickly and use technology effectively across different areas of training
- Experience working on agile project teams a plus

- TechSmith Camtasia and Snagit
- Articulate 360 and Rise (preferred)
- Cloud storage solutions such as OneDrive and Box
- Internal project management tools (such as Favro)
- Learning Management Systems (such as Talent)
- Ability to see within normal parameters
