    To utilize the principles of adult learning theory and systematic processes to create complex, engaging, and interactive classroom and online training content for a wide range of audiences (employees, managers, executives). Design and develop high-quality instructional and communications materials, job aids, courses, etc., on a wide range of compliance and developmental topics. Instruct in a classroom setting, work with teams, work one-on-one with employees needing development assistance, work with assessment tools, and facilitate focus groups as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Designs and develops content for classroom and eLearning courses, training activities and scenarios, and instructional material (i.e., job aids, factsheets) for employees, managers, and executives. Uses systematic approaches (i.e., SAM, ADDIE) to develop training and informational materials.
    • Conducts needs/job/task analysis to determine content of training programs, training support materials, and appropriate design strategy. Interacts with customers to determine project scope, requirements, and issues. Utilizes results of the analysis to design and write instructional content.
    • Provides standup instruction in classroom and small group settings, as well as a facilitator in focus groups, and one-on-one development.
    • Assists in usage of standardized assessment tools (i.e., DiSC, MBTI, StrengthFinders, etc.).
    • Communicates the design to customer and a multidisciplinary development team (e.g., SMEs, Technical Developers, etc.). Proactively identifies risks and responds to obstacle.
    • Evaluates training programs, courses, and materials using quality and customer standards. Conducts quality assurance reviews on products.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, adult education, curriculum development, business, scientific, technical, education or related field and 6 to 9 years of job-related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
    • Experience in instructional design and development for classroom and eLearning.
    • Experience in determining training needs and designing appropriate instructional delivery methods.
    • Experience with needs assessment, task/content analysis, designing documents, establishing learning objectives and evaluation strategies.
    • Experience in conducting dynamic and engaging training, presentations, facilitation, and one-on-one development.
    • Experience with assessment tools such as DiSC, MBTI, StrengthFinders, etc. desired.
    • Must have proven experience with leading and instructing in a classroom setting for a wide range of audiences (employees, managers, executives).
    • Must have strong presentation, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
    • The candidate’s starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate’s qualifications to determine salary.
