    The eLearning Technology Support & LMS Assistant assists the Learning Management System Technologist with eLearning Technology Support and Learning Management System (LMS) operations. The scope includes working with instructors, administrators, and students to provide helpdesk support for classes delivered fully or partially online using web conferencing software and the learning management system.

    Essential Functions

    • Provide phone and e-mail support for classes delivered fully or partially online.
    • Assist faculty and staff with embedding and managing videos within BMCC’s current LMS and enterprise video platform.
    • Provide technical support for Web Video Conferencing delivered classes
    • Perform routine maintenance of video repositories and manage storage of video content for BMCC.
    • Provide support with an online repository for instructional resources, tools, and tutorials for online course delivery systems.
    • Prepare, maintain, and track documentation of LMS support tickets.
    • Support Learning Management System Technologist by contributing to a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) reference guide.
    • Assist with providing support to faculty and staff on an as-needed basis.
    • Report problems and concerns to other eLearning staff as necessary.
    • Other relevant duties, as assigned.

    Other Aspects of the Position

    • Must be able to work occasional extra or flexible hours as needed. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
    • Must be able to work using computer and mobile screens for most operations.

    Requirements:

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Individuals must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

    • Good Communication skills.
    • Proficiency using computer and mobile technology.
    • Experience with online course functionality.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

    Required Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalency required.
    • Demonstrated experience with using Excel, other Microsoft Office software, and/or similar software.

    Additional Information

    This is a part time position up to 29 hours per week as needed. Part time employees earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.

    Pay: ___$15.00 per hour
