Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with our Learning Specialists to identify talent development needs, priorities and necessary outcomes to directly impact rapidly evolving e-Commerce and Retail business priorities and objectives.
- Knowledgeable and proficient in courseware development tools such as: Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Elucidat, iSpring, Gomo Learning, SmartBuilder, Camtasia, etc.
- Excellent skills in desktop publishing software (MS Publisher, InDesign, etc.), HTML editing tools (Adobe Dreamweaver, etc.), and Microsoft Office Suite, including MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Services) design.
- Proficient in videography including scoping needs for a video, script creation, filming, light setup, video editing, and closed captioning.
- Proficient in all facets of e-learning creation including course development, animation, voice-over, graphic design, and interactivity design.
- Experience with information management, knowledge practices and information governance implementation.
- Development of delivery tools to enable and measure effectiveness of training.
- In-depth knowledge of curriculum design, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
- Familiarity with current technical capabilities, limitations, and risks associated with various eLearning software, tools, and approaches.
- Knowledge of and compliance with intellectual property right guidelines for all deliveries.
- Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment (retail stores).
- Superior consulting skills, customer focus and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of retail learning demands and resources, including identifying and managing external partnerships with training vendors and industry organizations who provide content and resources to support critical skill learning and capabilities.
- Develops collaborative relationships and functions as an expert consultant to our HR Business Partners, key retail business leaders, subject matter experts and Learning resources to identify performance improvement opportunities, close knowledge or performance gaps, and gather source content for learning.
- Works cross-functionally to create performance and development solutions that improve business results through increased retention, improved engagement, and the development of high-performing associates.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Multi-Media Design, Instructional Technology or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
(OR)
- Graduate degree in Instructional Design, Multi-Media Design, Instructional Technology or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
Travel
10% travel expected with Area of Responsibility.
Qualifications
- Preferred candidates will be familiar with SCORM technologies and have experience in developing infographics, videos, interactive simulation, creative text design and animation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project and change management skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Learning Management Experience (Workday) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create, articulate and implement a Learning solution, learning project plan and impact analysis for associate development.
