As a Senior Instructional Design Specialist for Core Programs, you will lead and build industry-leading, engaging learning experiences specifically focused on helping employees grown develop in their careers. You’ll partner with studio and business unit executives & leaders, in addition to industry leading external partners, to create innovative core program curriculum. Spanning across the full employee lifecycle this curriculum will focus on (but not be limited to) things like onboarding, career/feedback labs, digital learning curation and manager/team playbooks.
You will be empowered to build and maintain relationships with targeted partner groups across multiple brands and studios. The ideal candidate will be able to help drive learning content creation through the full ADDIE/SAM lifecycle. They will create experiences grounded in theory & practice and experiential design, focused on providing best in class learning to all employees. You will design and develop eLearning, just-in-time performance support, microlearning, and instructor-led (both virtual and in-person) learning materials. You will design and develop content, which is scalable and delivers results by using proven evaluation methodology to make effective changes going forward. Responsibilities
Curriculum Development:
-
Align to the needs and scale of multiple employee populations across Activision, Blizzard and King globally.

Work closely with the Director of Core Programs to ensure curriculum aligns with the overarching L&D and business strategy / objectives while also delivering on results through a multi-year curriculum roadmap across different aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Work closely with internal partners to deliver best in class, new to role and cross-functional training experiences across the enterprise.
Vendor Management
-
In partnership with selected vendors, design and deploy learning and development programs. Additionally, own the development of blended learning options to support independent, classroom, and team-based learnings.

Identify and secure Learning and Development partners responsible for delivering programs. Additionally, supervise partner performance and attainment of contracted goals and outcomes.
Learning and Development Measurement:

Define and align learning objectives to measurement targets that support immediate and long-term business objectives and continuous career development for our employees.

Direct program effectiveness by measuring and analyzing participant’s performance during designed modules and experiences, while also identifying (and improving) content inconsistencies and deficiencies.

Strong self-directed project management skills, with a strong ability to work independently.

When vital, complete executive updates and program report outs for designed curriculum.

Help with the creation of annual reports summarizing impact and progress. Additionally, recommend solutions to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, potential learning gaps and anticipated needs

Ability to handle relationships across broad team member audiences, both internal and potentially external.
Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

5+ years professional experience actively designing and developing corporate or higher education learning curriculum.

Proven ability to lead Vendor Instructional Design and Development teams to drive innovation and success

Shown expertise in instructional design, especially in a corporate learning and development environment w/ a portfolio of previous work available upon request.

Working knowledge in the leadership or career development space, specifically in selecting/working with upskilling and reskilling vendors and external partners.

Demonstrated experience presenting to executives and gaining alignment among multiple partners on enterprise-wide initiatives.

Authority in adult learning/measurement modalities and theory (ADDIE, SAM, experiential design, Kirkpatrick etc.)

Demonstrated ability to lead multiple, sophisticated learning curriculum projects including project design, team member management, and light budget management

Consistent track record of using data to measure learning effectiveness, identify insights, and make updates/improvements.

Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced work environment while completing multiple priorities.

A bias toward action and creative problem solving.

Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries.

Proficient with MS Office Suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel), e-learning software development (Captivate, Storyline).

Industry certifications and/or degrees in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate.

Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or Learning Experience Platforms.
