We are seeking a Training, Development Specialist 2 – eLearning Developer to join our Self Sufficiency Program Training Unit.

    What you need to qualify
    Five years experience designing and coordinating adult education courses or organizational development strategies.

    A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior or related field may substitute for three years of experience.

    Note: Some positions may require one year of experience in a specific State program in addition to the above listed experience.

    Essential attributes
    We are looking for candidates with:
    Demonstrable solid technical expertise in various software applications such as: Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud applications for audio, video, and other media editing tools.
    Experience designing, developing, trouble-shooting and maintaining computer based trainings using either Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate and other audio/video/media editing tools that are SCORM compliant and 504 compliant.
    Experience with administration of a Learning Management System (LMS) for uploading and trouble-shooting computer-based trainings.
    Possess strong communication skills, both written and spoken
    Possess dependable time and project/task management
    Possess fast self-learning ability and welcome collaboration as a supportive team player

    Your duties at a glance
    This position is responsible for leading, researching, designing, developing and delivery of distance learning training. This position is responsible for developing web-based eLearning training, Webinar training with the use of Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, PowToon, and other applications. This position is responsible to train the Training Unit staff in distance learning tools, techniques, and development. This position also provides training related technical assistance to SSP/APD/AAA Program agency staff and partners, and other ODHS program areas as needed. The position provides trainer level support to the development of tools and other resources to support the training element of each program unit.
    As an eLearning Developer you will:
    • Conduct an assessment/analysis of training needs using an instructional overview form for gathering information
    • Develop and Deliver E-learnings and other media design projects
    • Upload, manage, and maintain computer based trainings into current learning management system
    • Participate in meetings, test groups, special studies and projects regarding new systems, programs, policies, or procedures.
    • Work closely with other curriculum developers and subject matter experts
    • Work in collaboration and in consultation with other media and e-learning developers
    Working conditions
    Typical office environment-with remote work possibility. Frequent pressure to produce under severe time constraints and deadlines. Training is primarily web-based modules and other distance learning methods with occasional in-classroom as it supports distance learning. Occasional travel to conference, meeting, and training sites to support distance learning modalities and other training/work related activities. Will need to lift and move equipment using unit established safety procedures and moving equipment with use of appropriate lift devises as available.
