    As a Training and Development Specialist, you will play an integral role in facilitating and executing employee development programs in Sofidel America. You will be responsible to manage and organize training courses by combining creativity, research and analysis of new and existing materials. Subject planning and enrollment coordination will provide you an opportunity to work with other departmental professionals and employees on an interpersonal level. You will also have the chance to collaborate with other managers to lead trainings and oversee employee participation. Managing course evaluations and overall productivity will allow you to experience the trainings on a personal level to assess their efficiency and ability to engage.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Develop and manage training programs by completing thorough research, analyzing vendors and assessing the employment needs of departmental managers.
    • Organize a training program that honors company ethics and conduct, is engaging and allows trainees the maximum opportunity to participate
    • Evaluate training methods to select the options that will aid in the delivery of concepts without unnecessary distraction, downtime or confusion.
    • Manage all responsibilities of the training department (data, record keeping, audits, etc.).
    • Responsible to provide training as an instructor with Company determined subjects in front of large groups and assess how effectively different methods and materials are the best to provide training.
    • Create budgets for all costs associated with training, and write detailed reports to justify expenditures for reporting to Sofidel Leadership.
    • Prepare training locations by ensuring instructors have all of the tools, technical equipment and resources needed to effectively teach a course.
    • Oversee general administrative duties, such as coordinating enrollment, scheduling class times and locations and sending invitation information to all trainees.
    • Assess training needs through regular communication with employees, surveys, consultation with managers or focus groups
    • Attend regular meetings and seminars regarding training techniques to keep methods fresh and relevant
    • Organize and design training events
    • Obtain and, if necessary, write training material for employee reference after conducting initial meetings
    • Perform or assist with any other HR function, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
    • Perform training subjects’ presentations and communicate effectively data and information related to training.
    • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, or related field; or the equivalent experience required
    • PHR/SPHR certification required
    • 5 to 7 years of experience Training and Organizational Development experience required
    • Keen understanding of psychology basics, specifically the behavior of learners and signs of comprehension
    • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
    • Fundamental understanding of the principles of presentation and how to engage participants
    • Must have experience designing, delivering and evaluating training needs pre/post assessments, developing effective training programs and materials, and presenting course materials in a formal training environment
    • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint required; additional proficiency in project management skills/software, Learning Management System (LMS) and eLearning tools is a must
    • SAP and Success Factors preferred experience
