The Learning & Development Specialist II’s role is pivotal in enhancing the professional growth of the Immatics US team. They will support career development throughout the organization. Provide an exceptional learning experience through thorough planning, LMS administration, and robust customer support. Attends events to ensure smooth delivery, provides facilitation support, and initiates learner follow-up activities. Responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Essential functions:
Career Development
-
Ensure new hires are processed for onboarding including completion and storage of required documentation in Workday.

Assist in facilitation of new hire onboarding training. Guide new hires through paperwork completion and communicate changes to the rest of the HR team.

Coordinate employee offboarding including technology collection, exit interview scheduling, ensuring necessary paperwork is distributed and stored accurately, and other functions related to offboarding.

Complete promotion letter verifications and collection of new job descriptions for each newly promoted employee.

Administer bi-annual performance management including the confirmation that deadlines are met in accordance with the company policies (initial performance, annual reviews, etc.).

Responsible for accurate and timely monthly HR Newsletter creation.

Prepare monthly Employee of the Month correspondence to line managers and employees and present final awards to all employees in person at monthly company meetings.
LMS Administration

Market courses available to employees and provide necessary information about sessions and available courses.

Maintain updated LMS and training records.

Provide general LMS support and exceptional customer service to employees.

Generate reports and maintain all L&D documents accurately.

Respond to internal employees’ inquiries in a timely and efficient manner and perform research as necessary to communicate accurate information back to the employees.
Training Coordination

Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session to assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.

Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.

Schedule and assign all trainings, tracking registrations and pre-requisite completion.

Maintain quality training support materials and visual aids; oversees printing requirements and ensures appropriate number of materials are provided ahead of each training event.

Provide logistical support for every training event, including in-person and virtual delivery methods, setting up classrooms, ordering meals, and virtual meeting support.

Coordinate with external trainers/facilitators as needed.

Responsible for accurate and timely monthly L&D Newsletter creation.
Secondary functions:

Assist in mapping out annual training plans for organization.

Assist in conducting organization-wide training needs assessment and identifying skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed

Design, prepare, and order educational aids and materials

Manage supply ordering, storage, and delivery to the appropriate training location.

Work environment:
This is a sedentary position (at least 50% of time) in a typical office environment. There may be frequent interruptions with moderate noise levels and frequent use of printers, copiers, scanners, computers and other office equipment. Ability to sit, talk, walk, hear and communicate verbally and in writing is required. Occasional lifting of objects up to 25 lbs is expected.

Required education and experience:
-
BS Degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or related field OR 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development field

MS Office proficiency
-
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

Strong communication skills
-
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
Preferred education and experience:
-
Experience with Learning Management Systems
-
Knowledge of L&D concepts, adult learning theory, or training facilitation
-
Experience with eLearning content authoring tools.
