    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    As a Learning and Design Manager on Nike’s Footwear Technical Training team – the Bowerman Creation University (BCU); you will be a part of a highly motivated, technically focused learning and development team. We are responsible for foundational footwear education and advancing experiences that aid in accelerating the skills and knowledge of functional roles across the footwear product creation organization. We build and deliver engaging learning experiences that fuel passion for creation and manufacturing expertise. We strive to cultivate a culture of innovation, team, and product excellence.

    An ideal candidate will have expertise in the intersection of Learning Design and Communications to create successful training experiences that serve the learning needs of Nike’s global product creation community. You will operate as a “player-coach”, leading a team of talented visual communicators and design learning solutions for projects, programs, and coursework to support the growth of our business and employees.

    WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

    In your day-to-day work you will lead and manage a team of visual communicators, providing vision, direction, guidance, development, coaching, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality learning experiences and solutions. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate content that is compelling and enhances professional development through instructor-led, eLearning, virtual, and immersion training.

    You will partner closely with program managers and cross-functional subject matter experts to deliver projects from analysis through implementation and evaluation. By overseeing the end-to-end instructional design process, ensuring the development of effective and learner-centric training materials, you will monitor the timeline, progress, and completion of design deliverables across multiple project workstreams as well as identify gaps and apply appropriate evaluation strategies while analyzing learning experience data, metrics/KPIs to gauge impact, and recognize progress.

    You will need to stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in instructional design and in corporate innovative approaches in service of elevating BCU’s learning experiences and solutions. Prioritize, develop, and execute instructional design quality standards that set a high bar for learning experiences and align with Nike’s values, voice, culture, and brand and serve as instructor/facilitator as needed on new and existing trainings. By fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging creativity and excellence in instructional design. Ensure a diversity and inclusion lens across all learning content and approaches.

    WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

    We partner with leaders, cross-functional teams and internal experts across Nike’s Global Footwear, Innovation, Design & Operations organizations. In partnership with program managers and members of your team, you will work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess and identify target audience’s learning needs.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • BS degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, Communications or a related field, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
    • Demonstrated success building, coaching, and developing diverse and high performing teams.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and development of training programs, tools and training facilitation.
    • Strong knowledge of instructional design processes, adult learning models and strategy, needs assessment and performance measurement experience.
    • LMS knowledge and experience.
    • Experience with creating courses, training, or educational materials that support blended learning methods.
    • Track record of effective storytelling and managing compelling communications campaigns with measurable results.
    • Excellent collaboration and project management skills to lead projects and/or your team of visual communicators from design storyboarding through to completion and delivery.
    • Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
    • Understanding of how layout, composition, type, color, and images contribute to impactful communications and training.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
    • Experience creating and publishing e-Learning modules using Articulate 360 is a plus.
