    Instructional Designer is responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content. Collaborate and consults with Education Department personnel and hospital subject matter experts to understand identified training and development needs to create impactful training modules using instructional design theories and methods that produce measurable results. Establish and communicates reporting metrics which provide quantifiable gauges regarding the delivery, effectiveness and alignment of training programs. Acts as system administrator for Learning Management System (LMS). Follow and maintain project documentation for effective course development.  Expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Creating and maintaining a library of clinical case examples from video and presentation materials
    2. Setting instructional end goals and creating content that matches them.
    3. Analyzing and applying trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
    4. Creating exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
    5. Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, games, etc.)
    6. Devising modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
    7. Maintaining project documentation and course folders
    8. Documenting standards and development process including testing and quality assurance.
    9. Supporting and maintaining Professional Education curricula.
    10. Document deliverable progress and estimate completions within a project management worksheet.
    11. Provide ongoing LMS reporting (custom when needed)
    12. Potential to contribute to the design and structure of new LMS.
    13. Collaborates with subject matter experts to identify learner training needs and content.
    14. Follows instruction from supervisor to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals within the department.
    15. Develop, and produce education materials using PowerPoint, Articulate Rise and Storyline.
    16. Correclty and appropriately cite reference resources as needed.
    17. Edit images, audio, and video using Adobe Creative Suite.
    18. Design eLearning solutions to support classroom and virtual learning.
    19. Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to existing content considering context, purpose, and audience.
    20. Consider adaptable design of material for use on-demand, in the classroom, and in the hospital.
    21. Operates copy machine, telephone, and equipment used in training programs/in-services efficiently and safely.
    22. Maintains and ensures a safe environment for the department. Handles and operates all necessary equipment and performs required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury.
    23. Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures. Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and Core Values for the department, system, and facility.
      PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
      Medium work – primarily sedentary activities at desk with some pulling, pushing file cabinets, reaching, answering telephone and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Occasional repetitive motions in working with personal computer. Must tolerate frequent sitting with sustained periods of up to 1 hour.  Frequent reaching with both arms at low, waist, and high levels. Ordinary talking and hearing to answer inquiries by phone or in person. Seeing acuity, near and far continuously, with depth perception.
      QUALIFICATIONS (Education/training and/or Experience
      High School equivalency with minimum two years comparable work experience in corporate setting, preferably in health care. Degree in Instructional Design or Education is preferred.
      Established instructional design training, skills, and samples of previous projects required.
      Strong interpersonal skills; written and verbal communication skills.
      Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-learner; comfortable with prioritizing, establishing objectives and processes, and working to achieve them.
