Supports Samaritan Health Plans in achieving its strategic goals and optimal business outcomes through facilitation of training and development activities for Health Plans staff. Provides direct training on common applications and business functions to employees across all divisions and levels of Samaritan Health Plans. Schedules, delivers, and monitors role-specific employee training in partnership with organizational leadership and subject matter experts. Provides administrative support for intranet site resources, survey forms, document libraries and monitoring tools. Participates in internal and external meetings, forums, and workgroups in support of Health Plan initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, training, healthcare administration, or healthcare management required.

Three (3) years experience in training, coaching, or supervision with a training component required.

Role-specific training experience required. Cross-functional experience preferred.

Experience and/or training in the following required:

Presentation, in person and virtual.
-
Planning, scheduling, and facilitation of training material.
-
Multimodal content creation of training communications, materials, and curriculum.

Scheduling and calendar management.

Experience and/or training in the following preferred:

Instructional design.
-
LEAN Six Sigma management theory/continuous improvement.

High Reliability Organizations.
-
Health Equity, cultural responsiveness, social determinants of health, language access, and trauma informed care.

Medicare and Medicaid concepts and plan implementations.

eLearning content creation and delivery systems including Articulate360.

A Microsoft Office 365 based work environment, including Teams meeting facilitation, SharePoint administration and Visio.

Experience within the health insurance industry strongly preferred.

Ability to plan, organize, be detail oriented, learn quickly, and adapt to change.

Effective written and verbal communication skills to perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand concepts, rules, and procedures. Ability to communicate subject matter in a class, group, or virtual meeting environment.

Ability to work with staff at all levels of an integrated health care delivery system, from entry level to executive staff operating in corporate and/or clinical roles.

Understands and can speak to concepts related to health equity, cultural competency and responsiveness, social determinants of health, language access and trauma informed care as they pertain to plan members, community partners and fellow employees.

Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Intermediate to advanced competency with Microsoft Office 365 applications such as OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Working knowledge of basic educational theories and concepts, particularly as applied to adult learners and business environments.

Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other forms of health insurance.
