Training Designer job

Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in digital transformation by crafting effective training.

On our team, you’ll work with SMEs, technical product designers, and organizational stakeholders to capture your customer’s training needs and advise them on the right learning solution to help them accomplish their goals. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll design both instructor-led and on-demand eLearning training products. You’ll build training material with multimedia specialists, graphic artists, and instructors following the Plan, Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation, and Maintenance (PADDIE+M) model.

You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll recommend cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with stakeholders throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model then fine-tune your training for maximum impact. You’ll be able to hone your leadership skills as you share your expertise through leadership and mentoring. As a leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build solutions to your customer’s learning needs. This is a chance to use your deep understanding of training methodologies to shape a creative learning experience that will engage students.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience with training, systems software, or change management
• Experience with creating documentation for end-user training materials and instructor facilitation materials
• Knowledge of the PADDIE+M model
• Ability to develop and brief data summaries to support decision-making
• Ability to make contributions and work independently, collaboratively, creatively, and analytically in a team-oriented and problem-solving environment
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Navy or Service staff as military, civilian, or contractor, including Joint Staff, OPNAV, Navy SYSCOMs, and BSOs
• Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while continuing to be a forward thinker
• Possession of excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
